As part of the German government's artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, the successful Saxon competence center ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig (Center for Scalable Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence) is being expanded into a leading German AI competence center for Big Data and artificial intelligence (AI). It is located at the TUD Dresden University of Technology and the University of Leipzig. At each location we bring together more than 150 staff members. In ScaDS.AI, various research topics are being worked on within the framework of a graduate school on the fundamentals and applications of data science and artificial intelligence. In addition, service-oriented solutions are developed and there is close cooperation with a large number of partner organizations from science and industry. The center offers an excellent working environment with access to state-of-the-art technologies and an outstanding high-performance computing infrastructure. Ada Lovelace Guest Professorship

DURATION AND SCOPE
The Ada Lovelace Guest Professorship will be launched starting at the next possible date. We are looking forward to your application for a one-time stay with a duration of 6-12 months in 2025 and 2026.
Our Ada Lovelace Guest Professor receives a basic monthly salary of 5,500 €. The position is expected to be full-time (40 hours per week).
You are welcome to a one-time travel allowance.
If you wish, a student assistant will be provided for the duration of your stay with half of the regular working hours (19h/week). Please inform us accordingly in your application.

Tasks

As outstanding and highly visible scholars working in an AI-related field, the Ada Lovelace Guest Professor will be actively involved in various research and teaching activities. The guest professor will hold a public lecture about the individual field of research, thus initiating dialogue with students and junior academics in AI also by way of a role model.
