Research assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)
part-time employment may be possible
Tasks
- Modeling and simulation of innovative powertrain concepts in the context of sustainable mobility (optionally hydrogen-based or battery-electric drives)
- Development and implementation of novel modeling approaches (either further development of hydrogen combustion models or multi-physics approaches for electrochemistry and heat transfer in the context of battery-electric applications)
- Support for experimental validation of simulation results
- Further development and conduction of courses as well as supervision of theses
Requirements
- successfully completed university degree in engineering sciences (Diplom, Master or equivalent)
- knowledge of 3D-CFD simulation
- familiarity with thermodynamic or electrochemical systems
- the ability to teach in German and/or English is a prerequisite; willingness to acquire the missing language skills in each case
Desirable:
- knowledge in the areas of vehicle powertrains, combustion processes, or batteries
