• Analyze, optimize and adapt HZDR infrastructure and data services
• Operate scientific cloud infrastructure on top of like Kubernetes, OpenStack and Proxmox
• Support research groups in using infrastructure and data services

• Completed university studies (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in the field of Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or a related
• Advanced training for a DevOps professional (f/m/d) is an advantage
• Knowledge of
  - Common programming languages and container orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Podman, Apptainer, Kubernetes)
  - OpenStack cloud platform and its components
  - Proxmox virtualization platform and its components
• Basic knowledge in
  - Complex and distributed networks (Desgin, protocols, etc.)
  - Complex and distributed services and systems (Databases, storage, authentication, etc.)
• Experience
  - In software development and programming (GitLab, CI/CD)
  - With configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)
• Willingness to cooperate intensively with developers and users from science and industry
• Knowledge of the Linux operating system and Bash scripting
