Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

Participation in research and teaching activities related to: Computer Networks with special focus on wireless networks and Distributed Systems. Teaching activities include being teaching assistant for undergraduate classes in EE, CS and CE Curricula, taught both in German and English.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed and research-oriented university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
  • Strong expertise in Computer Networks and Distributed Systems
  • Strong programming skills (C, C++, Python)
  • Teaching skill

Desirable:

  • Enthusiasm for leading-edge research, a mix of creativity and persistence, and team spirit are essential
