Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Research Assistant - 0.75 working time - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

under the reserve thar funds are granted

Working field:

Project work within the BMBF joint project "COMPHORT" for the implementation of room-temperature single photon sources in secure data transmission with a focus on the development, construction, and characterization of QKD components and the implementation of quantum key distribution in laboratory- as well as field-experiments. Close cooperation with research groups participating in the joint project.

Requirements:

Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in applied physics or similar. Knowledge and practical experience in the spectroscopy of solid-state quantum emitters, e.g. through the completion of an experimental master's thesis, as well as solid prior knowledge of concepts of QKD are required. Good command of German and/or English required; willingness to learn either English or German is expected.

Desirable:
Practical experience in the programming of measurement- and/or data analysis software (e.g., via LabView) as well as the operation of single-photon detectors is helpful. Communication and team skills are expressly welcomed.
