Airline, airport and air traffic control restrictions are taken into account in a combined consideration.
Your tasks essentially include:
1. Development of an integrated MI(N)LP optimization model:
  • to control the turnaround at the level of individual ground processes and individual flights in the fleet rotation
  • consideration of network-wide control measures such as aircraft swap and delay management
  • inclusion of constraints such as third-party resources, aircraft allocation, stand allocation and passenger routes.
2. Prediction of reactionary delays:
  • development of predictive models for the detection and assessment of reactionary delays
  • integration of planned transfer relationships of passengers, FC and crew into local evaluation functions.
  • control of resource allocation and prioritization based on delay and misconnex costs.

Requirements:

  • university degree in the field of air traffic and logistics, air traffic management, operations research or comparable qualifications
  • basic experience in the modelling and optimization of complex processes
  • good programming skills, preferably Java or Python or the willingness to learn quickly
