Research assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:
- participation in research of the chair, independent work on a research project in the field machine tool safety of machine tools
- development of an innovative measuring system for the optical detection of aging phenomena of polymeric materials
- planning, execution and evaluation of experimental aging und impact tests
- development and validation of statistical models for the description of the aging of polymer materials
- knowledge transfer to the industry and education
- presentation of research results to industry representatives and scientists at international conferences and trade fairs
- international, scientific travel activities
Requirements:
- successfully completed university degree (Diploma, Master or equivalent) in natural or engineering sciences (e.g. physical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics)
- knowledge of machine tool technology and material science
- sound knowledge of technical mechanics
- basic knowledge of chemical resistance of polymers
- experience in data analysis and evaluation
- willingness to carry out business trips (national, international)
- intention to obtain a doctorate and to work scientifically in a multidisciplinary team
- good knowledge of MS Office
- independent work in laboratories and on machine tools (including maintenance and overhaul)
- independent, systematic and structured working method
- advanced skills in German (at least C1) and English language in speech and writing
