The position is part of the working group “Governance of Ecosystem Services”. The central question of this working group is which governance approaches allow for the targeted and equitable provision of societally desired ecosystem services and biodiversity conservation objectives.
In the context of the Biodiversa+ project "Just" conservation? Bridging values for equitable biodiversity governance (BridgingVALUES) we offer a PhD position to analyze material (finance and technical expertise) and immaterial (discourses and knowledge) flows of EU conservation policies, how they manifest in our German case study Spreewald Biosphere Reserve, and to understand how these flow manifestations effect the diversity of place-based biodiversity and ecosystem services values and equity (context, recognition, participation and distribution).
