Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • active participation in research and teaching activities in technical mechanics with an emphasis on continuum mechanics and constitutive theory
  • research activities in the field of experimental mechanics with a focus on higher gradient theories and miniature experiments
  • teaching: Lectures on basic mechanics (in German), hands-on project to finite element analysis (in English), principles of continuum theory I/II (in German)

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in engineering science, mechanical engineering or related degree
  • very good knowledge of experimental mechanics as well as continuum mechanics and constitutive theory, especially (Can) in the field of higher gradient theories and their experimental implementation
  • sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected
