As out­stan­ding and highly visi­ble scho­l­ars working in an AI-rela­ted field, the Ada Love­lace Guest Pro­fes­sor will be actively invol­ved in various rese­arch and tea­ching activi­ties. The guest pro­fes­sor will hold a public lec­ture about the indi­vi­dual field of rese­arch, thus initia­ting dia­lo­gue with stu­dents and junior aca­de­mics in AI also by way of a role model.

DURA­TION AND SCOPE
The Ada Love­lace Pro­fes­sor­ship will be laun­ched star­ting Sep­tem­ber 2022. We are loo­king for­ward to your app­li­ca­tion for a one-time stay with a dura­tion of 6-12 mon­ths in 2022 and 2023.
Our Ada Love­lace Visi­t­ing Pro­fes­sor recei­ves a basic mon­thly salary of 5,500 €. The posi­tion is expec­ted to be full-time (40 hours per week).
You are wel­come to a one-time tra­vel allo­wance. Fur­ther­more, you are ent­it­led to a family sup­ple­ment amoun­ting to 250 € per child.
If you wish, a stu­dent assi­stant will be pro­vi­ded for the dura­tion of your stay with half of the regu­lar working hours (19h/week). Please inform us accord­in­gly in your app­li­ca­tion.
The host faculty or cen­tral insti­tu­tion will be sup­por­ted throughout the pro­fes­sor­ship with a bud­get of 500 € per month.

SELEC­TION PRO­CE­DURE
ScaDS.AI imple­ments a selec­tion com­mit­tee that con­sists of a num­ber of PIs from the two loca­ti­ons of ScaDS.AI. This invol­ves the rese­arch area leads and addi­tio­nally one PI from each rese­arch area. An equal oppor­tu­nities offi­cer will regu­larly be taking part.
