At the Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research scientists (f/m/d) from the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, pharmacy, immunology, medicine and IT develop innovative radiopharmaceuticals and novel tools for functional characterization, improved imaging and personalized treatment of tumors.
The Department of Life Science Nanomicrosystems is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d).
PhD Student (f/m/d)
It is a position for Doctoral Candidates within HORIZON – MSCA – 2023 – DN “STRIM: Scientific Training for Post-Translational Modification Detection in Cancer Screening”. The topic is: Portable FET biosensor platform for NP-amplified multiplexed DNA sensing.
Tasks
- Main goal is to develop novel FET-based electronic measurements system for real-time potentiometric and amperometric DNA detection
- Important milestone is the establishing of the bioreceptor functionalization, calibration and measurement formats for detection of methylated DNA of interest, using both, traditional molecular and nanoparticles-amplified formats
- Development of a demonstrator of the measurements system, enabling up to 100 pads monitored at the same time is expected
Requirements
- Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in the field of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Materials Engineering, Nanoelectronics or related field
- Specialization in Electrochemistry, Nanotechnology, etc. is a plus
- Practical experiences in one or more of the following subjects are beneficial: microfabrication, functionalization
- Ability of working in a team as well as independent work
- Fluent written and spoken English skills
